CONFERENCE OF GROUP COMMITTEES. At a conference of the AVellington District Group Committees of the Political Protestant Association, ovc which Mr. AV. Kemp presided, a.t the Lyceum Hall, •Lower Hutt, on Saturday, the following resolutions were carried; — “That this conference suggest that the time is opportune for tho Dominion executive to prepare and issue a “patriots manual,’* and that these be distributed liberally throughout New Zealand.’ “That the Dominion conference to be held next month take into consideration the necessity for compiling a record of suitable suggestions for the guidance of district committees and groups, such suggestions to cover organisation, finance, “That this conference urge upon the Dominion executive the vital necessity of sotting up a Parliamentary or Bills Commill ee in each centre, and that the deliberations of such committee bo forwarded io the different groups under their jurisdiction.” ■ "Thai this conference urge Hie national executive to consider the possibilities of floating a company of sufficient slrenglh to print and publish our periodical, weekly, and other literature, besides undertaking general printing,Jo ensure ils being u paying proposition.” The conference w.is concluded in the evening bv the holding of a social and dance. There was a largo gathering, and, interspersed with tlm dancing, items were contributed by the, following-. Sones. Miss IChight. Mrs. Patter. Messrs. V. Rowe, C. Goddard, and Bennett; rocitntions, Alias Shearer and Mr. AV. Kemp.
