MAX BANDOHR’S ACQUITTAL
BELGIUM PROTESTS TO GERMAN GOVERNMENT.
(Rec. June 19, 5.5 p.m.) Brussels, June 18. M Vandervelde, Minister of Justice, replying to a question in the Chamber o! Representatives, said the acquittal of Randohr at Leipzig wns scandalous and ~ denial of justice. The Belgian Government has protested to the German Government against Randohr’s acquittal.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. rMnx Randohr, who was charged by tlia Belgian Government with imprisoning and ill-treating Belgian children at Grnmmonf in 1917, was acquitted, the Court declaring that the evidence was not conclusive, also that the witnesses exaggerated and contradicted one another.]
