A meeting of creditors in the estate of Herbert Anderson Jones, architect, was held at Masterton yesterday, Mr. A. D. Low, Deputy Official Assignee, presiding. It was shown that the debts due to unsecured creditors, among whom were many Monwatu and Wellington firms, amounted to -£913 14s. lid., while -650 was owing to a secured creditor, who had a lion over a motor-car. Jones put in a statement showing assets (including book debts -61106 13s. 5d., and shares -£ll6 55.), amounting to .61309 18s. 5d., leaving a surplus over liabilities of -6346 3s. 6d. After Jones had been cross-ex-amined at some length it was resolved that Mr. Temple, representing C. E. Daniell. Ltd., bo appointed to act in conjunction with the D.O.A. in going into the accounts for the purpose of deciding which accounts, if any, are to be sued for.
