Tho Chinaman works hard to save enough to return to his own country, but the Hindu has no such ambition. He commenced humbly enough, ns a gatherer of unconsidered trifles—empty bottles, jars, scrap zinc, lead. co PPer, etc But. experience has taught him many things. He now vies with me Chinaman in bidding daily nt the market, for the city’s supply of first to be sold in barrows nt sheet corners, but now vending the same from door to door, ns the Chinaman used to do a quarter of a century ago.
