FATAL FIRE
MAN PERISHES IN FLAMES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, June 14. A fatal fire occurred at Thornby, where an eight-roomed house owned by F. H. Steel, butcher, of Christchurch, was completely destroyed. The occupant, John Hampton, a single man, aged a-b a meat-cart driver, perishod in the flames. He lived in the house alone.
