Kellaway (Postmaster-General) announced that in response to protests from business interests he was abandoning the increased rate on printed papers, though, it meant the dropping of £3oo,ooo.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. BUSINESS MEN TO -ASSIST IN POST OFFICE MANAGEMENT. (Rec. June 10, 11.30 p.m.) London, June 10. In the House of Commons Mr. Kellaway announced tho appointment oi a. council of twenty business men to assist in the economical management, oi the Post Office, including Sir Allan Anderson, of the Orient Line.—Aus.-N.Z.
