THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for variable winds with moderate southerlies ruling northwards of Westport and Kaikoura. and moderate to strong south-west to north-west winds elsewhere; squally at tirqes in Otago. Fair and milder weather may be expected generally, ■ with cloudiness increasing shortly. Barometer little movement, but falling soon in the south. The weather has been fair to cloudy generally with southerly breezes predominating. but strong westerlies and showers have been experienced about Fouveaux fitrait. An anti-c.vclone has overspread the country, but a disturbance has apparently been located southwards of Npw Zealand. D c Director. Meteorological Office, Wellington, June 9. 1921.
