PROGRESS LEAGUE TO BE FORMED.

A very large and representative meeting of representatives of local bodies and other organisations of Miirllioroiigh. met this evening to hear Messrs. P. N. Climio (organiser cf the Canterbury Progress League), G. Mitchell (Wellington Progress l/'ague organiser), and W. 11. Field, M.P., and Dr. A. K. Newman. M.P., speak in support of 11m establishment of a Marlborough Progress League. Aller a lengthy discussion it was decided Io form a. league, and a largo provisional commit 4 -*.' was set up J o give effect Io the resolution.
