Cape Town, May 26. The “Prophet” Noch was charged with sedition in tho Queenstown Court. Ho is a big, confident man, aged about fifty-five, and is dressed in good, European clothing. Like all the "Israelites," his head is shaven. Officers and men who have fought. in Africa and France say that they never saw anything to equal the madness of the charge of the "Israelites,” who cared nothing for bayonet or bullet, and took their punishment without a murmur. One of the wounded states that the arrangements for battle were complete. The natives were drawn, up in four squadrons. They were instructed to wait till the troops were at close quarters, and then rush them with swords and assegais. (, Tho South African Native Congress, sitting at Bloemfontein, carried a resolution strongly protesting against the “pogrom action” of the authorities at Bulhoek, and expressing a doubt whether the same measures would have been taken against Europeans in similar circumstances. The congress then adjourned, and marched in procession bareheaded through the location, a band playing tfie "Dead March.” Then a service in memory of the dead was held. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
