INCREASES ANNOUNCED. (Rec. May 25, 10.10 p.m.) ' London," May 24. Tho Postmaster-General has announced that post-card rates will bo raised from a penny to three-halfpence, the minimum rate for printed papers from a halfpenny to a penny, and foreign letters from twopence halfpenny to threepence. The delivery of letters on Sunday will be discontinued. The rises are duo to the present heavy losses on the postal ser-vices.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
