IN MEMORY
OF THE FIRST CHIEF SCOUT COMMISSIONER.
The annual report of tho Boy Scouts' Association, submitted to tho annual conference yesterday, included the following recommendation :— "Your committee recommend that the following steps be taken to perpetuate tlie memory of the late Lieut.-Colonel D. Cossgrove, V.D.. founder and first Chief Scout of tho Dominion Boy Scouts’ Association :— “(1) That the Colonel Cossgrove Memorial take the form of a badgo to be awarded to all .Scouts Obtaining the following badges:—Ambulance. Camp Sanitation, Friend to Animals, Handyman. Healthyman, Missioner, Rescuer, and Pathfinder; the'badgo to be on blue cloth with tho letter C in gold braid, surrounded by a gold cord (rope twist) tied at the foot in a reef-knot. "(2) That a tombstone he erected on the grave of the late chief, and that every member of the Boy and GirlScouts’ Associations in New "Zealand be given an opportunity to contribute towards the cost of the same.” The report was adopted.
