Palmerston North, report having a fair yarding of stock at their Huntervlllo sale on Tuesday, which sold ae below:—Quotations: Sheep: Empty ewes, ss. 3d.; mixed lambs, 6s. 6d. Cattle: 2-year steers, £S 12s. 6d.; run oows. £1 16s. 6d.: Shorthorn bust-fed weaner steers. 325.; Shorthorn bust-fed weaner heifers. 235.; small mixed weaners, ss. i dairy heifers, £7 to £l4 ss. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Limited. Palmerston North, report:—At our Himatangi sale on Monday, we had a light yarding of both sheep and cattle. Although there was only a poor attendance of buyers, we quitted tho bulk of our entry at late values:—We quote: Springing cows. £l3 158. to £l5; dairy cows, £4 16s. to £7 55.; good 2-year dairy heifers, £7 10s.; forward cows. £? IDs. to £4 10s.: store cows. £1 15s. to £2; Jersey weaner heifers. £3; inferior empty 2-tooth ewes. 7s. 9d. to Bs.; lowconditioned 2-tooth wethers, Bb.; fat f.m. ewes, 9s. 10d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report on thoir Pahiatua sale held on Tuesday. Wo offered a large yarding of well-bred cattle. There was a big attendance of . buyers, including a number from outside districts. Competition was fairly keen. .Prices were low, but quite up to those ruling in other districts. Wo quote: 3 and 4-ycar bullocks, £5 Bs.; 3 and 4-year cows, in calf. £2 10s. to £3; empty cows. £1 ss. to £2 155.: 3year steers. £3 175.; 2-year steers. £2; 2year heifers, £1 15s. to £1 17s. 6d.; weaner heifers, £1: weaner steers. 295. 6d.
