DEMAND MADE ON GERMANY SURRENDER OF INTERESTS IN CONCESSIONS Ay Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Rec. May 19, 11.30 p.m.) Berlin, Alay 18. It is somi-officially announced that the Reparations Commission is demanding that the German Government surrender its rights and interests in the concessions mentioned in Article 260 of the Peace Treaty. Germany contests a contention that this includes mine and oil fields and stone quarries. The commission also demands shares in ■Undertakings of the character specified in Article 260.—Reuter. ~ [Article 260 of the Treaty provides that the Reparations Commission may “demand that the German Government become possessed o fany rights and interests of the German nationals in any public utility undertaking, or in any concession operating in Russia, China, Turkey, Austria, Hungary, and Bulgaria”; also it "may require that the German Government transfer within six months of the date of demand, all such rights and interests ... to the Reparations Commission."]
