RUGBY FOOTBALL
N.Z. UNION MEETS. The executive o£ the New Zealand Rugby Union met last evening, Mr. G. W. Slade presiding. There were also present Messrs. A. T* Griffiths, E. E. Little. G. Howe, S. G. Deams, R. Bailey, and H. Paton. A letter was received from the South African Union asking for an amended itinerary, on account of the postponement of the team's departure until May 20. Consideration was given to draft regulations for the tour. The proposals include suggestions that unions should be responsible for the entertainment of the team, the New Zealand Union paying the expenses on a moderate scale; that the admission rate to the grounds of play be 25., with an additional charge of 3s. for grandstand seats; that a member of the New Zealand Rugby Union shall accompany i-<3 team on its tour; that the assembling expenses of local teams shall be paid by local unions, except in the case of combined matches, when the New Zealand body will be responsible; and that local unions shall arrange for accommodation which will be paid for by tho New Zealand Union.
