PETONE COURT
The monthly sitting of the Petone Ma gistrate’s Court was held yesterday, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., presiding. For procuring liquor during the currency of his prohibition order, J. F. Mason was convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s.
Failure to provide his bicycle with n light after sunset cost A. AV. AVatson ss. and costs 75., and for a similar offence G. Hartley was convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s. AV. G. Webster, for riding a motor cycle on the Hutt Rohd cycle' track, was fined 10s. and 7s. costs. For leaving a motor-car unattended without lights attached, J. Burns was fined ss. and costs 7s.
For failing to register a dog, J. Wilson was fined .£1- and costs 7s. Clarke and M'Leod, who were charged with selling bread under weight, were convicted and fined £i> and costs 175.,
Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the ease J. Lan v. 11. F. Harding, for £2 10s. and costs 235. Failure to close her shop at. the requisite hour on a Statutory half-holiday led to Mrs. Rosen being lined 10s. and 7s. costs. Tenement cases were dealt with as follow: —
R. Wheatley is to vacate premises occupied by him in favour of J. Martin in two months’ time. An order for posession in one month was made in the cases Gilligham v. Nesbit, Ashby V. King, and Nattrass v. Haseman. • W. Beale was ordered to give up possession of a tenement to Jessie Good at the expiration of one month. In the cases Hannan v. Boyd, and Boyd v. Hoare, orders for possession an gix months were made.
