Sim ib to leave Auckland again for Vancouver on May 10. THE EAST COAST SERVICE. The Union Company advise that the Katoa. running in the East Coast service with the Kanna. has been delayed. She is not due here from Auckland until Tiiesd'av. and will sail for Lyttelton and Dunedin the followMg day. The Raima is due from Lyttelton on Saturday, and is to sail for Napier and Auckland on Tuesday. TASMANIA DUE TO-MORROW. The Tasmania is due here tomorrow from Auckland to discharge Liverpool cargo. She will later visit Lyttelton and Dunedin. MARAMA IN PORT. The R.M.S. Mtirama arrived at 11.45 last night from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga. She will berth this morning at No. 14 Queen’s IVharf. The Maratna was delayed owing to the heavy storm raging off the New Zealand coast. She is timed to sail for San Francisco, via Islands, again on Tuesday next. GLAUCUS LEAVES NEWCASTLE. The steamer Glaucus left Newcastle on Tuesday for Wellington, and is due here on Mohdav. The vessel comes to the agency of Messrs. Wins.tone Ltd., and has about Ibt’C tons of coat tor disehuce At present it .’s not krown what the vessel will do after she has put cut he-' cargo. WAIMANA DELAYED AT AUCKLAND. Apparently' ths congestion at nucklai'd is still bad. The S.S. and A. liner Widmann. which arrived there on Sunday from Whakatane. was only able to berth yesterday, and consequently she will be unable to leave for Wellington until tomorrow. She is due here on Sunday. RAIN DELAYS VESSELS. The rain which fell yesterday again hindered work on the waterfront, and numerous vessels have been delayed, not only here but also at other ports. The Piako will he unable to sa.il before Saturday, while the Komata, for Westport. Knkapo. for Greymouth. Kahika, for Westport a.nd Kokiri, for Greymouth, were all unable to sail yesterday, but should be dispatched to-morrow. The Karori has been delayed at Groymoulh, and is not due until ‘to-night.

MOERAKI SAILS TO-DAY. The Union Company’s steamer Moeraki is due from Lyttelton to-da.y. and is timed to sail for Sydney .and Hobart at 3 o’clock to-night. THURAKA FOR HOBART. The schooner Thuraka., which put into Wellington a. few days ago while en route to Hobart from Timaru. should resume her interrupted voyage on Saturday. The Thuraka is having a new mainsail made here, and ae soon as this is ready and the weather favourable, she will leave for Hobart. TOFUA FOR THE ISLANDS. The Tofua, which has been laid up in Auckland for some weeks past, is to undergo an overhaul there this week. She is announced to sail for the Western Pacific Islands on April 30. RADIO FROM DOONHOLM. Wireless advice was received on Sunday by the Xew Zealand Shipping Company that the Doonholm, en route Irom Cardiff to Lyttelton, with coal for the Government, was encountering strong westerly gales, and that the vessel was unable to make more than four knots an hour. She should arrive at Lyttelton today or to-morrow. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain F. G. Bilton, formerly of th* Talune, has been appointed master of the Kaiwarra, vice Captain Whyborn, who has come ashore on holiday leave. Mr. M. A. Scott, chief engineer of the Kahika. has gone to Dunedin for orders, and the second engineer, Mr. C. Scott, has been promoted to chief. Mr. A. W. Johnson has succeeded Mr. W. Johnston as second engineer of the Kahika. Mr. A. Cornelius has joined the Komata, as second mate, vice Mr. C. Sharpe. Apparently the Blenheim bar was workable yesterday, as the Echo left for Wellington. * The Waimea will not come to Wellington now, but will be replaced by the Alexander, which is due to-morrow from \\ anganui. She will nail to-morrow for Nelson. Westport, and Greymouth. The Kahika is to sail to-day for Westport, where sho will load for Napier and. Gisborne. , The Huia is duo to-day from Wanganui, and is to return to that port again to-morrow evening. , The Komata is to sail at 1 o clock today for Westport. She has timber and general cargo. The Rama arrived last night lorn Lyttelton, and is to sail at 5 p..m. to-day for the Chatham Islands, where she will load for Wellington. She is due back here about next Wednesday. The Kennedy is to sail to-day fw Foxton, and is duo hack here on Saturday;. The Blenheim will return to Wellington direct from Wanganui. and not 'la.
