The only persons nominated to represent the district, on the Wellington Harbour Board are Messrs.. Jonu Cobbe (Feilding) and Maurice Cohen ('Palmers, ton North).. For the Foxton Harboul Hoard, Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., was the only nomination. As the nominations do not exceed the number required, the returning officer has dec'ared them elect ed, A point has been raised, however, whether the elections should be held under vhe Local Flections Act or the Harbour Boards Act, which at present is undecided. Under the Harbour Boards Act. nominations closed on April 12, while under the Local Elections Act, they do not close until April 17. that is, the same date aa for the municipal election*.
