During the past financial year the City Council’s electrical department sold 6,530.220 units of electricity as compared with 5,968j616 the year before. On March 31, 1920, the number of consumers ot electric light in Wellington was 17,992. By March 31 last the number had increased to 19.714. The increase of revenue for the year was -68325, but the increase in working expenses amounted to no loss than-,£24.634.
