EX-KAISERIN’S DEATH
END LONG EXPECTED. Amsterdam, April 11. The ex-Kaisor and Prince Adalbert were present at the death-bed when the end came at 6 o’clock in the morning. The Kaiser retired weeping bitterly. The bells at Doorn tolled throughout the morning. The funeral will take place at Potsdam. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. London, April 11. With the death of the ex-Kaiserin disappears the most pathetic figure of the Hohenzollern regime. She had been in failing health ever since she joined her husband in exile, a prey to fears of .poison, aerial attacks, and other perils. The end had been so long expected that the. Duchess of Brunswick went to Germany in February to arrange the funeral. The ex-Kaiserin finally succumbed to heart failure— Reuter.
