CARNIVAL AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland, April 8.

At the Swimming Carnival held in the tepid baths, in the 300 metres invitation race, with E. V. Cunnold and L. L. Kronfcld, Langer, who started from scratch, '.'nidually drew ahead ‘ and won comfortably from Kronfeld by eight yards. Cunnold was another ten yards away, third. Time 3min. ssec. In the 100 yards invitation race Langer beat Kronfeld after a close race. He covered the distance in 63 2-ssec. Lust night’s swimming events' were postponed till Saturday owing to bad weather.
