The Manuka was expected to leave Sydney yesterday for Wellington. She is due ou Tuesday. MAIMOA TO COMPLETE. The S.S. and A. steamer Maimoa is due this morning from Napier to complete Homeward loading. She is expected to sail for London on Wednesday or Thursday. THE PORT BOWEN. • The O. and D, Line have received cable advice that the Port Bowen is expected to sail from Liverpool on April 23 for Auckland, "Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Port Bowen loaded at Glasgow and Liverpool. KAIRANGA LEAVES NEWCASTLE. The Union Company’s steamer Kairanga left Newcastle on Friday morning for Wellington, where she is due on Thursday. The vessel has a load of coal for discharge here. ‘ATHENIC TO SAIL FRIDAY. The S.S. and A. liner Athenic will not sail for London until Friday. PORT PIRIE AT AUCKLAND. The C. and D. liner Port Pirie arrived at Auckland yesterday from London. She is due here about Monday week, and will then go to New Plymouth to complete discharge. She will load Homeward on the New Zealand coast. SHROPSHIRE DUE THIS MORNING. The Federal Line are in receipt of a further wireless message from the Shropshire stating that the vessel . expects to arrive in the stream from Liverpool at 8 a.m. to-day 7 She should berth somewhere between noon and 1 o'clock. LEITRIM’S ALTERED MOVEMENTS. The Leitrim was to have gone to Dunedin from Lyttelton, but the vessel will not now go to the Otago port. Instead she will sail to-morrow for Sydney. PIAKO FURTHER DELAYED. The Federal Line advise that the Piako will not leave Auckland until Tuesday, and is due here on Thursday. From Wellington she will go to Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. WAIMANA’S MOVEMENTS. The S.S. and A. liner Waimana was to leave Gisborne yesterday for Whakatane. She will then go to Auckland, and is due here from that port on April 15. She should sail for London on April 23. SUSSEX’S JOURNEY. The Sussex arrived at Auckland from St. John on Wednesday. The vessel left St. John on December 21, and on January 25, while entering Colon ran ashore on the breakwater. A week later she was refloated, and after repairs had been effected at Balboa she resumed ner voyage on March 10. She experienced flue weather until about 700 miles off the New Zealand coast, when she encountered strong winds and heavy seas, which lusted for 30 hours. The Auckland portion of her general cargo includes newsprint, motorcars. and galvanised-iron piping. She Is due here about Thursday, and will then go to Australia. NAVUA WTffl FRUIT. The Island steamer . Navua arrived at Suva at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, and left on Thursday for Samoa and Tongan ports. She will leave Fiji finally on April 20 with a full cargo 6T fruit for Auckland, where she is due on April 25. MISHAP TO THE RAMA, It has just transpired that the Chatham Island Fishing Company’s steamer Rama struck an uncharted object, probably a pinnacle rock or the mast of a wrecked vessel, in twenty fathoms of it mile and a half off land at the -phtunams, on a recent top there, states an •xchange. No damage was done to the vessel. Ap inqutry was helc. and the master and officers ot the steamer were “ompleteiy exonerated The occurrence emphasises the need for a complete and up-to-date chart of the Islands. The Opua Is due to-morrow from Lyttelton. ana is to tail on Monday for Nydia Bay to load timber for Lyttelton. The Tarawera should leave Sydney today for Bluff and Dunedin.
