MINING DISPUTE
THE COMING CONFERENCE. The New Zealand Miners’ Federation has agreed to Friday, April 15. as the date of the conference with the Coal Aline Owners’ Association for the purpose of discussing the miners’ claims for a new agreement. The point as to whether the conference will be open to the Press has yet to he decided. Apart from considering the men’s claims, the conference will have to deal with counterdemands, which will be presented by the coal owners.
