INVESTIGATION IN AUCKLAND.

The Prices Investigation Tribunal found that a tin of matches known «« “240’s” contained on an average 156, although the price lias increased by fully 190 per cent., and that some retailers charged more than others. ' The tribunal has instructed that alt Charging higher prices than the majority shall reduce the prices. A full report is being sent to the Board of Trade suggesting an inquiry regarding manufacturers’ costs, etc. .
