MR. STOREY’S VISIT TO WAR CEMETERIES

WORK OF AUSTRALIAN GRAVES SECTION EULOGISED.

(Rec. April 1, 5.5 pm.) London, March 31. Mr. J. Storey, Premier of New South Wales, returned (much / benefited in health. During his visit to the Somme battlefields he closelj' studied the work of the Australian Graves Section, winch he considers to be eminently satisfactory. Those controlling the work are picked men, and he says that Australians who lost relatives may rest assured that every effort is being made to locate the missing. The cemeteries are extremely neat and orderly. Mr. Storey placed a wreath on behalf of the Government and people of New South 'Wales in Amiens Cathedral, and he states: "To be Australians takes you right to the hearts of the Amiens people, who are sensible of the part the Australians played in the deliverance of the district from the Gormans” While in Paris, Mr. Storey attended, bv invitation, a special session of the Chamber of Deputies, and heard a discussion on lhe question of German reparations.
