SAVINGS BANK INTEREST
Sir.—l was pleased to see tho letter signed "looker On” and reply to seme, re Savings Bank interest.. The reply is exactly what it should bo, and should have been made public without “Ixiokor On" having to write about it. 1. however, have my doubts whether it was tho Sav-
ings Bank officials’ intention of allowing tho three months’ compound interest, previous to “Looker On’s” letter, as 1 have failed to make the interest in (No. 214152) work out as stated. I must confess my education is only limited, but if you will allow me to state the amount at credit in 1920 was AHU 10s. lid., which' ■ was for the end of financial year 1919. On October IG, 1920, placed to credit .£6O, and on December 8 withdrew £35, and am allowed £4. 15s. sd. interest for fifteen months’ interest, with three months comi pound interest added to end of March, 1921, making the total credit on above account £l4-1 6s. 4d. Will readers kindly check above items and satisfy writer? —I am, etc., LOOKER ON NO. 2. April 1, 1921.
