Mr. J. O’Sullivan, hon. secretary of the Wellington Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A., has received a letter from Mr. G. H. Weir, lion, secretary of the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club, stating that the cl'ib’s meeting Inst week was a great success. Mr. Weir said that a fair team was being sent down to the country clubs’ championship meeting from Hjjwera. There would be six competitors from the club, and they would also compote at the Caledonian Sports on the Monday. Mr. Weir mentions that nt the club’s meeting, Lieutenants Andrew, V.C., and Grant, V.C., both acted ns judges.
