Bt Gtßxcoa. The annual meeting of the Rangitikei Racing Club will be held on the Bulls course to-morrow and on Wednesday. The jumper Luperino changed hands last week, and is now owned by Mr. L. B. Harris, of Huntly. Acceptances for the Feilding meeting close to-night. . ’ As was the case at Napier recently, there was a big shrinkage in the totalisator receipts at the Masterton meeting, and it looks as if the depression which has been reported for some time is now commencing to show on the racecourses. The death is reported from Shannon of the well-known sportsman, Mr. J- JO'Regan, who used to race Ladify. Owners are reminded that acceptances for the Wairarapa meeting close to-night Mr. W. R. Kemball had quite a field day at the Masterton meeting on Saturday, when Tenterfleld. Martian Miss, and Miss Maid all won for him. while Lord Nagar and Raceful filled second place. Moonglow, who won the hurdle race at the recent Waimate meeting, has a pedigree that is not common in jumpers. He is by Treadmill, from the fashionablybred Snnglow. He is owned by Mr. R. Acton-Adams, and is a stablemato of Lochella. ~ _ The Field Battery gelding Gold Coast changed hands recently, and is to race at the Coast meetings duflng the Easter holidays. Acceptances for nil events at the C.J.L. meeting close on Wednesday next. J. Lowe leaves for Lyttelton to-night with Insurrection who is to race in the Great Autumn Handicap, in which he will be ridden by W. Kitchener. H. Telford goes south on Wednesday with Solfanelto and Blackmail, both of whom will start in the Great Faster Handicap. In a gallon over six furlongs on Thursday the chestnut mare finished in front of Solfanello. FalstaJT had his first race for his new owner at Westport on Saturday, but once

again failure had to be written against the Riddiford cast-off. Stuart Waddell has decided to take the two-year-old Anomaly to Ellerslie for the Champagne Stakes, aud J. O'Shea has been engaged to ride him. The same horseman will have the mount on Pente in the Oaks.
