TWO WOMEN INJURED

There was a small series of accidents in the . city on Saturday. A horse aumJ cart, driven by Mrs. Boulter, of Ngahauranga, Collided with a tramcar in tlie forenoon at the intersection. of Abel Smith Street and Cuba Street. Mrs. Boulter was thrown to the ground, and was picked up in a semiconscious state. She was admitted to tho Hospital, Where she was found to Ixs suffering from slight concussion. I/ate last night She was reported to be* progressing favourably. A collision occurred on Customhouse Quay in the morning between a motorcar driven by A, F. Smelt, of Brooklyn, and a tnamcar running towards tho G.P.O. The aedid'ent took place just after the motor-car had emerged from Hunter Street. There were several passengers in the car, and all wore upset. Mrs. Instonei, of Brooklyn, who was riding in the back with her husband, was slightly injured about her face and head, but the other occupants escaped with bruises and a. shaking. The car was badly damaged. Mrs. Instone has a slight, concussion, and the Hospital authorities report that she) is making good progress. Later in the day Hindu named C. AV. Hodalu, who resides at 25 Frederick Street, was knocked l down by a motorcar on jervois Quay and taken to the Hospital. He escaped) with bruises and a severe shaking.

Tho fourth casualty ease was that of Stephen Hartshorne, a resident of Holmwood Avenue, Karori, and an employee at fill© Ideal Boot Factory. One of his thumbs was caught in oome machinery, but only slight injuries resulted.
