STAR OK WELLINGTON LODGE No. 12.
Tho weekly meeting of the above lodge was held last Thursday. 'There was a large 1 attendance {by invitation) of members of the Pioneer Lodge No. 11. who were officially welcomed, and Bro. War- ■ ren, chief Templar of Pioneer Lodge, was requested to take the chair. Sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Sister Shaw. A hearty welcome was extended to several friends from 11.M.5. Chatham, who honoured the lodge with their presence. One new member was initiated into the order with tho usual ceremony. Uro. Petherick moved that delegates to Grand Lodge, who hold thei.. meeting in Christchurch on March 29 and 20, be asked to carry the greetings of the Star of Wellington Ledge to other lodges they intend visiting while in the south. The motion was seconded and carried. An excellent musical programme was arranged, many brothers and sisters and frl-'nd.i from the Chatham contributingSupper was handed round, and votes of thanks to those who contributed to the programme and provided the supper were passed. Bro. Montgomery, superintendent of Excelsior Temple and Victory Junior Lodge, announced that it was the intention of the combined juvenile temples to entertain the men of tho Chatham next Tuesday evening, circumstances permitlodge closed at 9.30 p.m. to allow the officers of Grand Lodge tn hold a session to center degrees for which members or the H*nr of Wellington Lodge were applicants.
