A claim by Txmie Rae for .£23 10s. from tho proprietary of the Paramount and Artcraft. Theatres was heard in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday by Mr. TV. G. Riddell, S.M. Mr. P. J.. O’ltegan appeared for the plaintiff, and Mi. H. r. O’Leary for the defendants. The statement of claim alleged that the amount was made np of two weeks’ salary in lieu of notice, ami money owing at the. time of the plaintiff’s dismissal, with Jl5 10s., said to be due for one week s holiday,’ which was taken when the plaintiff was in receipt of that sum as a weekly wage. It was further stated that the contract of service provided for one week’s holiday on full pay. It was contended by Mr. O'Rcpan that the defendant company wrongfully dismissed the plaintiff. The Magistrate gave judgment. for the plaintiff for .£l3 2s. fid., with costs amounting io .£4 16s. 6d.
