Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Limited, report having held their fortnightly Hide at the Upper Hutt on Thursday, March 3> when they offered a medium entry ot sheep and cattle. Owing to the serious fall in the price of fat stock bidding was dull. Although the auctioneer managed to quit- the majority of the sheep penned. Cattle were very slow of sale, the only class required being good dairy sorts. The principal sales were as under: -Medium 4 and 5-ymir-old ewes. 9s. 3d.: forward 2-tooth wethers. 145.: cull whitefaced lambs, 4s. 6d.; good springing heifers £l6 to £l6 55.; medium springing heifers, £fl to £9 16a.
