The "Observer,” reviewing the Test matches, disputes tho accepted opinion that the batting of the Australians is their strong pqint, and asserts that the coming tour in. England will show that the Australians’ bowling and fielding are stronger than their batting. Gregory and Mailey are likely to have a triumphal progress if they keep fit and well throughout the tour. Eng. land’s first innings was declared closed when, the score was 326 for six wickets rftussell 146, Wilson 62). In Albury’s first innings Parkin took seven wickets for 63.
