DISPOSITION OF THRACE AND SMYRNA GREECE REJECTS PROPOSAL FOR COMMISSION. (Rec. March 1, 8.5 p.m.) Athens, March 1. The Greek Government has decided to refuse the Supreme Council's proposal for an Inter-Allied Commission to decide as to the disposition of Thrace and Smyrna.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. BULGARIAN THRACE INHABITANTS FAVOUR UNION WITH GREECE. Athens, Februaxy 28. 'The inhabitants of Bulgarian Thrace held a demonstration in favour of union with Greece. Turkish and Greek speakers advocate annexation by Greece.—-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. FRONTIER OF SYRIA FRANCE AGREES TO MODIFICATION. (Rec. March 1, 9-55 p.m.) London, March 1. The "Daily Express" states that tho Supreme Council has agreed to institute an examination into the questions of Armenia and Kurdistan. France has agreed to modify the frontier of Syria.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. NO GREAT CONCESSIONS FOR GERMANY ALLIES WILL ADOPT FIRM ATTITUDE. London, February 28. It is -understood that as the result of week-end discussions at Chequers, and information from Lord D’Abernon (British Ambassador to Germany) regarding Germany's position, the Allies will adopt a very firm attitude at the Conference, and will not grant Germany any considerable concessions.—Aus.-N.Z. GERMAN DELEGATES ARRIVE. (Reo. March 1, 5.5 p.m.) London, February 28. Dr. von Simons and twenty members of the German delegation arrived at tho Victoria station. There was a large crowd present, but no demonstration.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
NO LABOUR MAN TN GERMAN DELEGATION. Berlin, February 28. No Labour man accompanies the delegation to London, ns originally planned, in order to indicate the readiness of the working classes to assist in rebuilding the devastated countries, —Aus.N.Z. The Supremo Council will meet the Germans to-morrow morning, and hear Dr. von Simons's statement, which the Allies will consider during the afternoon.
