A BIG SCOUT RALLY

Lower Hutt this afternoon should be the scene of a muster cf Boy Scouts that the residents of that suburb will remember for a long time. It is estimated that about seven hundred Boy Scouts, drawn from Altellington city ami suburbs and the Hutt Atelley, will take ]>art in the turn out. The main object of the demonstration is to determine which troops are to hold the “various trophies donated to tho AAtellingten Province for the next twelve months.

The judges of the coriipetitions are; Alilitary drill and marching (AAtellington Banner), Captain Brocke; ambulance (Rhodes Cup). .Messrs. F. AVard and A. Richardson; signalling (Moorhouse Cup), Mr. G. Pettiti; firemen’s competition, Captain Slinn and Lieut. Doran; band items, Air. G. AAtetson; march past, polo drill, and parade fire lighting, Commissioner Captain Cossgrove. The Scouts will entrain from LamlAon Station at 12.30, and on arrival at Lower Hutt will march to the Recreation Ground. Tho parade will be headed by the Lower Hutt Scout Band, and bo under tho command of District Commander AV. Alason. Boys in uniform, up to tho age of 16 years, will travel at half-price. ■ °Thc Boys’ Cricket' League have postponed all their matches this afternoon, and his will help io ensure the success of the outing.
