PROTESTANT POLITICAL ASSOCIATION
WELLINGTON NORTH GROUP.
The annual meeting of the Wellington North group of the N.Z.P.P.A. v' aB held in the Methodist Schoolroom, Molesworth Street, on Thursday, Mr. D. Steptoe presiding. There was a good attendance of members. The secretary reported that tho branch had been successful during tho year. There was in hand at present the sum of JllO 19s. sd. The report and balance-sheet were adopted Officers were elected as follow:— President, Mr, E. M'Kenzie; vice-presi-dents, Mr. George Baker and Mrs. Brown; hon. secretary, Mr. Scott; treasurer, Mr. Seten; committee, Miss Hete bond, Mesdames Weissman, Sen ton, and Messrs. M'Nab, Johnson, Standidge, Morris, and Steptoe. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES MEET. The executive committees of tho Wellington city and suburban, groups of the Protestant Political Association met in the Esperanto Jlau on Monday evening when the national lecturer (Rev. Howard Elliott) outlined the new plans of organisation, particularly referring to tho newly-created district committee. Keen interest was aroused in the methods whereby better co-operation will btj found between the groups concerned and head office, especially in their coordination towards securing the return of suitable candidates at the forthcoming Mayoral and municipal elections. Each group has full representation on the district committee which meets at an early date to determine tho attitude of the P.P.A. toward the various candidates for municipal honours.
