Residents of Gislwrne (says an exchange) were treated to the unusual spectacle of seeing a cow smash through the front window of a business establishment one morning last week. The cow, straying from its owner’s paddock during the milking hour, wandered into tho main street, and, crossing over the footpath, walked right to tho front door of the shop. Finding itself enclosed by walls of glass on either side, and becoming frightened by the spectators, tho cow turned round, its horns breaking through a large plate-glass window. Several glass stands inside the window were shattered, while damage was done to over a dozen pairs of shoes
