THOUSAND TONS FROM AUSTRALIA
The Alinister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. E. P. Lee) stated yesterday that the Board of Trade had purchased another thousand tons of sugar in Australia, and was making arrangements for early shipment. An earlier purchase of a thousand tons lias proved of material assistance to the people of New Zealand, during the jam-making season.
