INTENTIONS OF HARDING ADMINISTRATION

New York, February 12. * Senator Lodge has advised the State of Oregon against instituting any State legislation dealing with the Japanese problem, because the new Administration intends to enact comprehensive laws on the same matter. The Legislature of Washington State, which had arranged to join a conference with other Western States, has now decided not to participate or be bound by the result. —Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
