SCHOOL COMMITTEES’ ASSOCIATION

The first monthly meeting this year of the School Committees’ Association was held last evening in the Education Board building, Mr. W. E. Fuller presiding. The meeting was attended by a large" number of delegates, and many matters of interest pertaining to the public schools were discussed. A request from the Chautauua Associa'tion for permission to address the school children on the subject of Chautauqua concerts was declined, as it was contended that the programmes given were for adults, and not likely to benefit elulA resolution was passed: “That the association fully approves and endorses the action of the Minister m his treatment of the deputation re moving pictures, and respectfully requests the Minister of Education to pass tins resolution to his colleague.” . The balance of the evening was spent in discussion of suggested alterations to the regulations governing elections of school committees.
