APRIL ELECTIONS
THE LABOUR CANDIDATES. As a result of a selection ballot for tho purpose of deciding the official Labour candidates to contest the local body elections in April, tho following will be nominated :— City Council (fifteen seats) —T. Brindle, Mrs. S. J. Callow, C. H. Chapman, A. AV. Croskery, P. Eraser, J. Glover, A. L. Monteith, It. M'Keen, J. M'Kenzie, J. Read, F. Singleton. Mrs. S. E. O. Snow, R. 11. Stickney, 41. Walsh, and W. T. Young. Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (fourteen seats)—J. Barras, Mrs. Carver, Mrs. E. M. Carmichael, Mrs. J. Catlow, C. H. Chapman, T. Eagle, Mrs. J. Fraser, ,T. Glover, 5. Gordon, Mrs. E. Lawler, J. M'Kenzie, A. L. Monteith, Mrs. S. E. 0. Snow, and Mrs. M. Stables. Tho returning officer for the ballot was Mr. F. Cornwall, and the scrutineers Messrs. P. Hickey and A. Black. Mr. P. Hickey has been nominated as the Labour candidate for the Mayoralty.
