TO BE DISBANDED. « Sydney, February 12. The Government has decided to disband the State Orchestra. M. Henri Verbrugghen states that not only will this be a loss to the musical community, but a calamity fo the citizens and to culture generally. He had every confidence that 'there were sufficient enthusiasts in Sydney to help keep the orchestra going. Referring to the abandoned New Zealand tour, ho said the. visit was not only inconvenient at this stage, but he doubted whether it would he such a success as if carried out as originally arranged — Press Assn.
