DAY’S BAY RATEPAYERS
The annual meeting of the Day s Bay Ratepayers’ Association was held in the Pavilion on 'Saturday evening. Mr. D. K. Hoggard was in the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet were submitted and adopted, several matters pertaining to the interests of residents paving received satisfactory attention. Omcers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —Chairman, Mr. D. R. gard; council, Messrs. E. BE. Anderson, J. B. Finlay, T. Mayer, F. W. Oakley, IV. S. Wallace, D. G. Little, C. W. Nielsen. A. E. Carver, F. Sandors, F. W« Petherick, C. E. Aldridge, W. E. Butler, and L. M. Willtams; bon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. P. Saunders. The proposal for amalgamation with Eastbourne Borough, previously referred to a meetin/, of ratepayers, was Informally discussed at length, and it was agreed to refer the matter to a further general meeting of ratepayers to be held on a /ini', iii February to be fixed and notified.
