SEAMEN GIVE ASSURANCES.

Sydney, January 29.

Mr. T. Walsh, secretary of the Seamew’s Union, has communicated with the steamship owners, giving assurances on behalf of the seamen of uninterrupted working conditions. He repudiated tho suggestions of job control published in tho Press, and said, “I seldom read the newspapers, and never believe them." —Press Assn.
