WAIKANAE YEARLINGS
Steady rain fell during the sale of tho Waikanae yearlings, but there was a very large attendance of sportsmen. Bidding was dull and the prices realised were poor. The eight lots offered were sold and the average price was 245 guineas. The prices were: —■ B. c. Martian—Papbia, Mr. E. S. Luttrell, Christchurch. 300 gns. B. f. Boniform —Secret Link, Mr. J. J. Alexander, New Plymouth", 200 Br. f. Martian—Snow Waif, Mr. J. J. Corry, Blenheim. 150 gns. B. or br. f. Boniform—Mayhap, Mr. AV. Stone, Invercargill, 120 gns. B. f. Boniform —Snowstell, Mr. C. Jackson, Hawera, 190 gns.
