PROPOSED INVITATION TO NEW ZEALAND. The' New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association; on the suggestion of tho Wellington R.S.A., has written to tho Prime Minister urging that an invitation should be extended by the Government to Field-Marshal Earl Haig, K.Ti, to visit New Zealand on the conclusion of his stay in South Africa. Ilis Lordship is to preside at the conference of expoldiers of tho Empire, to he hold in Cape Town’ next month, and it is felt that an effort should be made to induce him to extend his tour and to sec something of the other oversea dominions. Mr. Massey has replied that the matter will bo considered by Cabinet--dt the earliest opportunity.
