HOUSES FOR PETONE
ERECTION TO BE SPEEDED UP.
Advice was received by tho Petone Borough Council from the Minister of Labour last night, that everv effort would bo made to speed up the erection of the dwellings allotted to Petone. which, it was hoped, would alleviate the position in the borough. A contract had been let for six houses, to be commenced immediately after the holidays, and arrangements were being made to call for tenders for an additional thirty dwellings, which would be put in hand shortly. '
