THE GOEBEN’S ESCAPE
NARRATED BY ADMIRAL MILNE.

London, January 16. Admiral Milne has begun the publication in the "Sunday Express” of■ a narrative ot the German warship Goeben s escape. He states that Italy’s neutrality prevented the British ships nt the outset entering the Straits of Messina, but a watch was set to northwards of the mouth. Instructions to, traverse the strait in pursuit of the Goeben arrived too late. Admiral Milne was then running south along the west coast of Sicily. Tho narrative describee a thrilling exchange of fire with the Goeben and Breslau by Captain Howard Kelly, on board the Gloucester, until recalled owing to shortage of coal and to avoid cap-ture-.Aus.-N.Z.
