BOARDER DUCKED IN COLD BATH. Br Telegraph—Preus A««ociarfon. Dunedin, January 14. The case of ducking a boarder at the Y.M.C.A. came before tho Police Court, when five young men were charged with assault. Complainant said defendants carried him upstairs to the bathroom on the second floor, forcibly undressed him, put him into a cold bath, and left him -there. The Magistrate, in convicting four of- the defendants, said, there was certainly a good deal of evidence that complainant's habits were objectionable to the boarders, but there had been no justification for the drastic step taken by defendants. A fine of Jl'2.each and costs was imposed.
