RAILWAY WAGES
A BOARD TO INVESTIGATE. The Government, it is understood, has agreed to the appointment of a board to investigate the claims made by various branches of the railway service for increased wages on account of alterations in the cost of living which the men claim have taken place since the present wages schedule was determined. The board will be on similar lines to those which previously conducted inquiries into the pay and conditions of tho different branches ofr the »ervioe.
