SUICIDE AT GLADSTONE

Cartfcrtbn, December 30.

The Carterton police were informed last night that a man hud committed suicide at Gladstone. They went out at I) o'clock and found the mini lying dead in a paddock, his throat having been cut with a razor. The body was brought to Carterton, and an inquest is being held 10-day. Deceased was a swagger. iU icft Wellington on Tuesday with his brother, visited Martinborough and then Gladstone. He had been suffering from ill-heiillh for the past sis months, but there was no indication of his imention to commit suicide. The body had been identified bv the brother as that of Stephen Sullivan, aged about JO year*.
